LOST IN FANDOM

My Journey in Entertainment and Fandom

With over a decade of experience in the entertainment industry, I’ve had the privilege of working in various roles on film sets, from production assistant to technical director. My career began in the vibrant suburbs of Los Angeles, where I was exposed to a rich tapestry of cultures and creative influences.

I hold three associate degrees in directing, editing, and producing films, a Bachelor’s in Digital Media Design, and I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in New Media Journalism. My educational background and professional experiences have given me a deep understanding of the entertainment world and the challenges faced by new filmmakers.

Embracing Fandom

My first convention experience was at Wonder Con, where I was amazed by the diverse cosplay community and the sense of camaraderie among attendees. This ignited my curiosity about fandom and how it is a powerful form of self-expression and community building.

From Wonder Con to Los Angeles Comicon and Designer Con, I’ve immersed myself in the convention scene, exploring Artist Alley, meeting talented creators, and connecting with fans who share my passion. These experiences inspired me to delve deeper into fandom and understand its impact on individuals and communities.

What I Bring to the Table

As someone who has transitioned from the entertainment industry to becoming a convention enthusiast, I bring a unique perspective on how fandoms influence our lives. I’ve taken Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion training to ensure that my approach to fandom is inclusive and respectful of all cultures and identities.

My technical skills span cinematography, producing, editing, web design, game design, and more. I’m proficient in using industry-standard tools like Adobe Premiere Pro, Lightroom, After Effects, and various camera systems, including RED, Blackmagic, Canon, Sony, and Arri Alexa cameras.
